May 21,2013 Dillon Ice Melt Contest Ended as the Measuring Device Entered the Water May 20
May 21, 2013 - The ice is receding from Lake Dillon and the Summit County Rotary Club's Ice Melt measuring device entered the water yesterday, May 20. This was well over 5 weeks past the date this event happened last year as then it entered the water on April 11. The late heavy snowfall in April helped to prolong the life of the ice covering the lake this year.
