Mar 3, 2014 Weekend Snow Totals 13-23 Inches Adds to Above Average Snow Pack
The snow is piling up over the weekend at Summit County Ski Resorts. After the snowfall the resort snow bases were 68-94 inches and that's after the settling that has occurred! The snow pack is running 125-160% of the median for this time of year, so 25-60% above normal! As a result of the high snow pack, care must be taken when going into the back country and especially be aware of avalanche warnings.
